Hello, I'm new here. My name is Whitley (Whitty) and I live in Indiana. I've been playing guitar for a while, and I've been trying to get better. I just found this site, and I think it will help me. It's pretty interesting so far. I'll try to be pretty active on the boards. :D

Welcome to GT Whitley! I really enjoyed looking at your artwork. You've defanately got some talent there. When I was in to drawing (before I broke my hand too many times) I never was good at portrait's. For some reason, they were the hardest thing for me. you sorta nail it right on. like how light and dark things should be. you dig?

I use reference pictures. All of my drawings are based on photos. If you had your art online I could look at it and try to critique it. I'll try to help you out if you need it.

Before you say something like that, please remember that guitar/music is also an artform. So to say you "suck at art" means you suck at music too...and I don't think that's what you're trying to say.

Good call, Art is a broad term. I mean I suck at creating art expressed through drawing or painting, but when it comes to writing music that will melt your heart or your face, I rock gnads! Better? :D
