What's the point? They're just making it sound like crap by slowing it down so much. Personally I'd like to hear what it sounds like up to tempo.

Who knows? I think it said something about the philisophical stuff about being something about taking it slow in todays fast changing world or something like that. Crazy huh?

Ha. That's pretty funny to read about. I wonder what the whole thing sounds like. I only really skimmed through it but i thought it was funny that they developed weights to hold down chords for entire years. That could get old real quick. This is really stupid. I've never heard of this composer before either...but if his other peices are indicative of his talents I'd be afraid. A peice entitled "4'33" which is 4 minutes and 33 seconds of silence meticulously notated. That's crap! What a practical joker he must've been.

I'm definatley not getting tickets but if life takes me to that church I may step inside for a moment just so i could say I heard it.

This is simply just a question out of curiousity. What if it wasn't ok with him? Would you then separate the two threads?

As for the original topic... yeah, I think it's crap. It's not really the longest, just the slowest. Try cranking the bpm up in the song and see how long it is. I'm quick to call him someone aiming for attention since the point of making it is incredibly stupid. No one's going to listen to it and no one's going to enjoy it. And that's what music is there for. To be listened to and to be enjoyed. How many people are going to sit there and say "Oh boy, only 2 more years until the next chord." No one. So even if the song itself is really good, it's lost now. And I find that disheartening.

I think the guy who wrote it is dead too. Did it say? Yeah his teacher is definatly rolling in his grave.

are the chords just sounding for a year and then they change? or is it just like G MAJ!!!!! ....*wait 2 years* F MAJ!!!! ect. Or are the chords lasting for a year and changing imediatly

it'd be interesting to wonderhow the people then would react to it...maybe he was just bored... i agree possibly he's just trying to gain attention... if only they'd tell us what are all the chords going to be... :rolleyes:

im just wondering how loud it was. cuz i know organs can really crank it. if i lived in the area and all i ever heard was a constant G chord, im sure i would be annoyed.
