Yes indeed, Elliott. The roots of today's musical subgenres can be traced directly back to the '70s. Punk, for one, inspired pop-punk, alt rock, and grunge. If not for bands like the Ramones and The Clash, we wouldn't have had bands like Nirvana or Green Day. By the way, I liked Bread. ;)
