Hi there,

i'm learning the song Tennessee Whiskey and there is a section which requires note sliding from 2nd fret to 4th., is there a tutorial in GT for acoustic note slides? Thanks in advance

Hi tammielyn.ts,

Do you mean just sliding from one note to the other? Or are you referring to sliding with a slide you put on your finger?

For example, usually when a guitar tab requires a slide, it will look like this:

The portions highlighted in yellow are the slide parts, which requires the guitar player to simply slide your finger from one fret to the next without lifting off the strings.

The same technique of sliding notes is applied on an acoustic guitar as well. But I have a feeling you may be referring to some other type of slide.
