I like this very much.

I have been trying to do that sort of shuffle beat with my sequencer and just can't manage it. What is the secret? How do you quantize it (16T, ?)
?

well, thanks for the compliment. I used hammerhead for the drums (just programmed in a techno beat and streamed to disk while screwing around with it in real time) and the sequencer I used was DdClip a Russian job that lacks a lot of deep editing but is really simple to use. You can get a free download of it (I have it at my site so grab it at
http://guitarsoc.homestead.com

I did everything by ear just cut and paste, shorten, lengthen, nip and tuck sort of stuff. I really don't have my act together technology wise.

Other than that not much is going on except for me playing. The song was a vehicle: present for my daughter, tribute to Buck, and my first attempts to document by own shred technique. Most people think it is smoke and mirrors stuff. It's sort of bugging me actually.

Thanks for taking the time to download it and listen.

yours,

Hi everybody. I've been working on a new picking style -- I don't think it's the 'bubble technique' ;-) -- and I've got an mp3 of it if you're interested. Here is the url

https://www.idrive.com/bofatron/files/sound+clips/

I recorded this ('Baskethead') for my daughter's birthday. She loves crazy action moves like Mortal Kombat and I wanted to do something for her that would recreate that experience in a song. Anyway, it worked. She gets to doing karate moves when she hears it. It is also my tribute to Buckethead who, by the way, did the guitar playing in the Mortal Kombat score.

feedback is welcome.

Thanks,

Bofa
