Starting to pick up the guitar a little later than many... mid 30s, 3 kids, including a very little one, full time job with more travel than I want.

I LOVE music. Love listening, love watching videos of guitarists soloing to backing tracks on YouTube.

So I ask myself - why cant I learn to do this too, and just enjoy playing?

WELL, the ole’ “get burned by a cheap junky guitar on eBay and no lessons” stage now behind me, joining for a year to figure this thing out and go from there...

My intent is to lean more rock, not necessarily metal, but from “clean” melody to glam rock level distortion is my intent, love that range of tones, and so many songs from the 80s to today to choose from.

One day, Ill be able to play a song. I hope.

I'm 36 and tried to learn when I was 15.This was pre-YouTube of course. And we didn't even have the internet at home. I'm just getting back into it again this time. I understand more about music theory this time around though. Have fun! Thats what it is all about.
