When you record a song in the studio, you can add as many guitar tracks as you want to. This means that the studio version of a song very often ends up being a lot more complicated than the live version. And even though you can't replicate all these guitar tricks live, there's a certain magic to the studio layering and a lot to be learned from it!
So in today's tutorial we're gonna look at the studio version of Just My Imagination as made famous by The Rolling Stones. I will teach you three different guitar parts (in standard tuning!) that all seem a bit "incomplete" by themselves but have an incredible magic, when you put them all together.
There is so much to be learned from each of the rhythm guitar and lead parts that you can take with you and use in other musical contexts!
