In this lesson we play our I-IV-V major chord progression again using sweep picking along with a backing track at a faster tempo, 120 BPM. The pattern remains the same.

  • A major (I) for 2 measures
  • D major (IV) for 2 measures
  • A major (I) for 2 measures
  • E major (V) for 2 measures
  • Repeat!

We want to try this slowly at first and get the technique right. This is because we are aiming at playing these chords precisely in time along with a backing track. After you get the mechanics of it right, then play along with the backing track!
