It then goes into the C-F progression on the chorus. In this part the lower harmony makes use of the phenomenon in blues harmony where it's not really major or minor, it's both, using the bent D note up to the Eb (the second to the minor third, then bend the D to the E natural, which would be the second to the major third. Then repeating until we get to the chorus turnaround where we do the G at the fifteenth fret of the first string; bending up to the A note and back in sync with the upper harmony, and finally finishing by releasing back to the G.
