In this series of lessons we'll learn how to play "Backwater", as made famous by The Meat Puppets. This alternative rock track came out towards the end of the grunge era, and features some guitar parts characteristic to that time along with some other unique ideas. Harmonically this song has some very interesting chord progressions that still manage to sound very melodic with the track. On top of the cool chord progressions that you hear, there is also some great blues style lead work throughout the song. The band has two guitarists, and this track features one playing lead and another playing rhythm. Let's check out what both guitarists are playing throughout this track.
