The electric first makes it introduction in the turnaround after the 1st chorus, and is primarily arpeggiating the chords under the acoustic. It drops out through the 2nd verse and appears again in the 2nd chorus. In the bridge, the electric kicks in the overdrive to play power chords and root notes that follow the progression. The electric then drops out again until the 3rd and final chorus, where it re-appears with the clean/chorused arpeggiated guitar figure.
