In this tutorial I'm gonna teach you how to play the song "Wonderful", as made famous by Everclear. This is one of those classic 90's sounding pop songs with the typical 16th note shuffle drumbeat and a very distinctive and produced guitar sound.

Like many other alternative rock songs from this era, the song is based on a very simple and repetitive chord progression, and the layering of guitar parts is what builds the dynamics throughout the song.

Since more and more people have basic recording setups in their homes and mess around with production, it can be very useful to learn how to layer different guitar parts to obtain this certain pop/rock sound. So we're gonna talk about all the guitar parts that you hear on the studio version of this song; the raked whole notes, the arpeggios, the tremolo parts in the verses, the siren sounding lead line, and much more. It's very important that you have the sound of this song very fresh in your mind, so make sure to go and listen to it a couple of times before you start learning it!
