GUITAR: Use a guitar with a humbucker pickup in the bridge position to give you the most clarity, power, and fullness.

AMP: Any Marshall type tube amplifier will do here! The rhythm sound is a nice crunch; if you crank the pre-amp gain all the way up on a Marshall you should achieve this sound. For the leads, you want maximum sustain. If your amp has more gain to give you, then go for it. If not, I suggest putting an overdrive/distortion pedal in front of your amp to get it. I used a Marshall Plexi model with the following settings:

DRIVE:100%, BASS:45%, MID:75%, TREB:100%, PRES:55%

EFFECTS: 8th note slapback delay:

TIME: 225ms FDBK:0%, WET/DRY MIX:14%

Overdrive/Distortion for leads:

DRIVE/GAIN: 100%, LEVEL: 75%(adjust to taste)
