Now it's time to talk through the form real quick and then play through the whole song with the backing track.

First you have your intro riff. Then there's a verse-pre chorus-chorus and that repeats. After the 2nd chorus they go to the bridge with the build up, and onto the last chorus. After that they go back to the verse part, while the track fades. So play along if you're ready for it, or watch a couple of times before that...

I hope you've learned a lot from this tutorial. All The Police songs have so much interesting guitar playing in them. It was very different and ground breaking back then and it still has a very distinct and unique sound. So try to use some of those elements in your own playing if you like the way it sounds!

There are also many great ideas for alternative instrumental sections. Most guitar players would have just improvised a guitar solo in that bridge section, but instead he had the creativity to come up with that really cool delay part. Guitar solos don't always have to be meat and potatoes!
