Both verses of "I Don't Care" feature the same guitar parts. Guitar 1 continues to play the main part from our last lesson, and guitar 2 plays the same parts as well, adding the power chords. The only difference with the verses is the addition of some harmonized guitar parts played for two bars. Here are some key points to help you through both guitar parts in our verses:

1. The section is 8 bars long and is repeated twice for both verses.

2. Both guitars play the main guitar parts for the first four bars, than switch to the harmonized guitar lines for two bars, then play the main part again twice before repeating.

3. Continue to play swung, and focusing on the up beat.

4. The additional harmonized part for Guitar 1 moves down D, to C#, to B, to A, to G# on guitar 1. The rhythm is a triplet feel played on top of our swing feel.

5. The second guitar plays the same rhythm on F# on the D string for the first bar, and then switches to A on the D string for the first bar and a half playing the triplet feel, than C# on the A string for the last two beats, completing the phase.

6. Both verses are played the same.
