In this tutorial we are going to learn how to play "Swing, Swing" as performed by The All American Rejects. This pop rock song features an easy chord progression that any guitar player at any level can play, plus some cool solo licks and guitar harmonies. This song shows you just need a great hook and a simple chord progression to write a great song.

The tone for this song can be achieved by using a dual humbucker guitar, with the pickup switch in the bridge position for rhythm and in the neck position for lead. The distortion is a pretty traditional tone with the gain set a little over half way up, and dynamics are key to this song! You will also have a short clean tone section, which is played with a clean tone with a light touch of reverb.

The song is in the key of G, played in 4/4 time, and at 128 bpm. I'm going to break down this song section by section, letting you hear each part up to speed and slowed down.
