In this tutorial we're going to learn how to play "Come As You Are" as performed by Nirvana. This hit from the grunge era has retained it's reputation as one of the most popular songs to play on guitar, period. Not only does it sound cool, but it's also easy to play.

We're going to be using a Jagstang guitar to emulate the sound of Nirvana, along with chorus and distortion pedals to play "Come As You Are." If you don't have a Jagstang at home, fret not; you can play this song with whatever guitar you may have.

The guitar tuning for this song is standard tuning a whole step down to D, and in the key of A major. For the sake of making things easy, we are going to refer to the chords and strings as they relate to standard tuning, so make sure to have your guitar tuned down. The time signature is 4/4, and the tempo is 121 bpm.
