The first riff is a way of playing A, G and D major that is very low key. We are plucking mostly even 1/8th notes at a low dynamic level, meaning with lower volume and attack. The next riff is the same three chords, but with the volume turned up full so there is a good punchy attack on each chord. Also, instead of playing every 1/8th note, we'll leave lots of time and space in between each chord. This makes each chord sound even more powerful!
I find it quite easy (so far!) to navigate, and found the "where do I start" to be very helpful! I'm getting there!!
I LOVE the forum, too. I've never been one to use forums, but the GT forum is full of great people and helpful information at ALL levels! Congrats on a WONDERFUL site!!Good job!
