GUITAR: Any electric guitar with a humbucker pickup in the bridge position will work great here, as the humbucker provides plenty of power and clarity when using hi-gain amps. Note there's also a layer of acoustic guitar used throughout the song, so choose a bright, shimmery, powerful acoustic that can cut through and blend with the distorted electric guitar. Also remember to put a capo on the 2nd fret for the acoustic parts.

AMP: Use a modern hi-gain tube amplifier here such as a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier for authentic tone. You'll want to use a lot of gain so that the riffs and palm muted pedal notes stay thick and punchy. Check out the settings I used:

Modern Hi-Gain Model: Drive: 85% Bass: 40% Mid: 60% Treble: 45% Presence: 65%
