In this first part, which is reasonably playable, I will show you the first 8 bars of the solo.
The fundamentals of this guitar solo is that we play the arpeggios of each of the underlying chords, but in different creative ways. The chords are Em, C (or C7), F# (or F#7), and B (or B7), and they repeat four times.
Don't feel bad if you can't learn this guitar solo note for note, it is extremely difficult. But you can always learn something new that you can bring into your playing. If you want to improvise, you can use the E natural minor scale over the Em and C. Then try to hit notes from the F#7 arpeggio, and over B, you can use the E harmonic minor scale.
I find it quite easy (so far!) to navigate, and found the "where do I start" to be very helpful! I'm getting there!!
I LOVE the forum, too. I've never been one to use forums, but the GT forum is full of great people and helpful information at ALL levels! Congrats on a WONDERFUL site!!Good job!
