The tune opens with a clean guitar chiming out the main riff, using double stops and a pedaled A note. The move to the low B note with the high double stop at the 3rd fret suggests a move to the bVII chord (G).

The riff concludes with a move to the bIII and IV chords, and a catchy single note riff using the bIII and II notes.

You're playing straight 8th notes here, so be sure to keep your picking even and accurate, locking with the rhythm section. Note the variation leading into choruses, where you don't play the single note riff, but instead continue arpeggiating that open D power chord.
