GUITARS: I'm using a Strat style guitar for this tutorial, but any guitar with single coil pickups in the bridge position will provide you with the tones needed to authentically reproduce the guitar parts. In this case, the guitar has a more focused and bright sound that works well cutting through a dense mix that features thick synthesizer patches.

AMP: As far as amps go, any Marshall or Fender style tube amplifier will easily do the trick here. Turn up the pre-amp gain to get some light to medium crunch, which will add some punch and weight to the riffs. Also note the liberal use of reverb in the second verse, adding a dreamy quality to the song. Check out the settings I used for this tutorial:

Marshall Plexi Model: Drive: 85% Bass: 45% Mid: 75% Treb: 75% Presence: 45%

Spring Reverb (2nd verse): Wet/Dry Mix: 55%
