The second part of the verse in "Change the World" switches to a new chord progression, and then ends with a switch back to the main progression followed by a G#7 chord to transition into our chorus. Here are some key points to help you through it:

1. Guitar #1 plays a similar set of anticipated rhythms to the main motif and the first part of our verse, difference being we are adding the new set of A chords that are based around a pedal tone (this time A.) You will apply the same embellishments here as well, and will also play an open A to B lick to turn around back into the verse progression.

2. You will follow the A pedal tone chords with a return back to the E progression from the first part of our verse, ending the progression with a crescendo on G#7.

3. Guitar #2 plays a similar role here as well, playing a series of bluesy sparse licks. During the second part of the both verses, Guitar #2 will come in over the fourth and eighth bars playing some nice licks to transition to the next section. The licks played over the G#7 (a secondary dominant,) especially sound great.

4. During this section as well, Guitar #1 plays with more dynamics to match up with the rhythm section.
