First we are going to learn the main lick of our song, which is played with our acoustic and is heard all throughout the track.

1. Our main lick is four bars in length, focusing around an E minor chord that starts with a pickup note on the & of four of the measure before.

2. You play the riff once through, and at the end of the first time you want to let the low E string for a whole measure. After that, you play the lick again and then it ends differently by playing a D power chord on the & of 1 of the last measure.

3. You play this part during the intro, verses, interludes and outro. It's the same part throughout the entire song. The only there is any variation is when you are entering the pre-chorus sections, which during that you will slightly crescendo on the D5 chord. You will also end the song with the lick, followed by an eighth note crescendo on your low E string.
