The Les Paul is the ideal guitar for this song. The humbucker pickup in the bridge position provides the right amount of clarity and power for this electric blues tour-de-force.

As far as amps go, any cranked up Marshall-style tube amp is a fine choice. Set the Drive to 70%, Bass to 45%, Mid to 50%, Treble to 55%, and Presence to 60%. Use the volume knob on your guitar to clean up the sound when required.

Add some reverb for depth.

I used a 10-46 string gage, with a heavy pick so I can dig right into those bluesy licks and leads with some attitude.

Here are the settings I used:

Marshall Plexi Model:
Drive: 70% Bass: 45% Mid: 50% Treb: 55% Presence: 60%
Spring Reverb:
WetDryMIX: 35%
