We have three different verses in our song, each telling the story of the lyrics and dynamically moving really nicely throughout the song. As I mentioned in the intro, there are two acoustics playing slightly different parts throughout that never really repeat. To make it easier to teach, we are going to play the same part for each verse which covers our main melodies and chords. This includes some of the melodies we learned in our last lesson as well.

The chord progression for our verse is the same twelve bar chord progression each time.

|| D - D - G - G - D - D - G - G - A7 - A7 - D - D ||

The D and G chords are played the same way with the same melodies as our intro. When we get to the A7 chord, we will arpeggiate the melody using an A shape. We will also sneak in a few suspensions as well.

For our last two bars of D, we will vary up the rhythm and melody to transition in our pre-choruses. This part can be a little tricky with the use of your pinky finger, so don't feel bad if it takes a little time.
