Congratulations! You got your guitar in tune and started making music, and you should be very proud of yourself!

Now it's time to start the beginning of our Guitar Fundamentals course, and I want to tell you what that is going to be like.

First we will take a step back and talk about different types of guitars, how the guitar works, and the parts of the guitar. Then we will move on to learning technique for how your right and left hands should be positioned to start working on open chords and strumming.
You might notice that each video gets a little more difficult than the previous, and that's intentional. Feel free to re-watch each lesson as many times as needed until you're ready to move on.

Remember, if you need to take a break because your hands or fingers hurt, that is fine! Don't over-do it and hurt yourself. Your fingers will need to adjust to the strings, and if you feel any pain just take a day or two off.

As for practicing, try to set aside 10-30 minutes of practice time, 3-5 days per week. That's what we think is best, but mainly, do what feels comfortable for you.

If you haven't yet registered for our Full Access membership yet, now is a good time to do so because you will need that to access the rest of this course.

Ok, let's start Guitar Fundamentals 1!
