In this lesson we're going to check out our capo options for playing a Country song in the key of E-flat.

First find your root notes on the the E and A strings. On the low A string we have it in the 6th fret. That means we can put the capo in the 6th fret and play an A major shape.

Just like you saw it with the G chord shape in the previous lesson, we can also use other open chord voicings that have the root note on the same string. Which open chord do you know that also has the root on the A-string?! The C major chord!

Let's remove the capo for a second and look at our C major chord. First you have the nut, and then no open frets before the chord starts. Before we add the capo let's grab our C major shape, but with our root note in the 6th fret. Right behind your 1st finger is the fret where we need to put the capo.

Strum it and see if it sounds right. Reference another Eb chord to make sure you have the right chord.
