Description
In this lesson we'll use the same type of progression but change the key so we can practice a different set of chords on different root strings. Start with an E major 7 rooted on the A string. Then play a C# minor 7 also rooted on the A string. Next, change to an A major 7 rooted on the D string. Finally play an F# minor 7 rooted on the D string.
This is the chord progression for this lesson.
E major 7 (1 measure) (I)
C# minor 7 (1 measure) (vi)
E major 7 (1 measure) (I)
C# minor 7 (1 measure) (vi)
A major 7 (1 measure) (IV)
F# minor 7 (1 measure) (ii)
A major 7 (1 measure) (IV)
F# minor 7 (1 measure) (ii)
We'll also try the strumming variation in which we rhythmically separate the bass note from the rest of the chord.
