Description

In this song tutorial we'll be checking out a mid-90s gem in Better than Ezras famous song, "Good".

A couple of the things we'll be checking out is how they blended two very big guitar parts through almost the whole song. The main progression has an interesting twist where the 4 chord, C, is dominant and creates a very interesting sound.

The style of the song is 90's alternative rock so we're also going to talk about dynamics, and how to add different parts to the different verses to keep the listener excited through the whole song.

The song also has a really cool key change for the guitar solo where the same progression is played but in a different key and then very nicely modulates back to the original key for the last chorus.

The guitar tones in the song are very 90's so plenty of distortion on big open chords.

There are a lot of cool alternative guitar parts in this song, especially watch out for the octave melody in the last chorus, but now it's time to get started.
