We'll now explore the use of power chords in progressions. Power chords are essential to learning modern country music because it is influenced so heavily by classic rock.
In this lesson, we'll learn how to extract power chords from barre chords. We'll then learn a simple, one chord progression using a power chord. Even though it only uses one chord, you'll notice that the use of a power chord and a creative rhythmic choice makes this into a fairly groovy riff. Our progressions will become more complicated in the next lessons.
