Surf City

Hi everybody! This is Henrik from Guitar Tricks, and in this set of lessons we're going to learn "Surf City" as made famous by Jan & Dean.

In this video we're going to look at the different parts of the song and what we can take away from the lessons.

This song has a verse part and a chorus part, and these parts will be repeated three times each before the song goes to the fade out.

We'll be looking into two main guitars today, with guitar 1 playing boogie rhythms on the lower strings and guitar 2 handling some really interesting back beat rhythms with some higher voicings.

This song is really all about the rhythm playing and once we hit the chorus we're definitely gonna put our right hand playing to the test.
