Description

Red Wing is the third in a series on double-stops, the first being The Wabash Cannonball and the second being The Wildwood Flower. Red Wing is an old American Traditional Fiddle tune adapted to the guitar. We learn more about how to incorporate hammers and pulloffs into our playing as well as how to use both a flat pick and the second finger of the right hand to play the song. This "pick and finger" method is a very common technique and once a person becomes familiar with it, it allows them to increase their playing speed and accuracy.
