Got killed in a hit and run yesterday. Nibbles was his name. I'm gonna miss him telling me off at every turn. Losing pets sucks.

I've had a St. Bernard named Maggy for the past 8 years... she's "my dog"... and I just recently moved into a new apartment here at Purdue University and they don't allow dogs over 75 pounds (not that I'd want to keep my dog in my apartment with me and my roomates)....... And my parents don't want to keep her because they live in town as well.... So I called the St. Bernard rescue and they're going to come take her away sometime this week.... I can empathise a little... although I know that she'll be in good hands...

Sorry about the cat man...

Nibbles was not yet 2 years old. We live on a pretty busy road for a residential area so the odds were that one of our cats would get hit. He was pretty awesome, all loveable and playful. He won't be easily replaced. My wifes pretty sad about it. Truth be told they are more hers than mine. She always told me if anything happened to her cats she wanted a daschund pup. Maybe I'll try to find her one to cheer her up.

A few years ago, my mom was driving me to school when we passed our dead cat on the side of the road. She got all upset so my brother got a shovel and put it in our yard to be buried. After school we buried her and when my older brother came home my mom told him. He was like, wtf are you talking about, shes in the kitchen eating. Turns out we buried someone else's cat.

Hope that puts a smile on your face Marcos. If our cat died, even though its my moms, I would miss it as well even though its a pain sometimes.

Yeah, I know how it is... I lost my dog, Toby, a year ago today... He had a lot of eye/skin/bladder problems... he was really old, thats why. I couldnt remember there being a time in my life that I didnt have him in it... what a pup. Sorry man...

That sucks, man. Sorry to hear it.

My cat and dog both died in the same year. They were pretty old though.

Sorry about your cat, man, but I can't really say I can relate. The only pets I've had were a couple of goldfish, and I'm pretty sure I'm the reason they died. I spent a lot of time shining my laser pointer on them. They eventually grew these big fuzzy tumours around their eyes and could no longer swim right-side-up.

Horrible, I know.

Ive had a few pets, huh,

3 pairs of cats+ like 4 individual others...
4 dogs
2 lizards
a snake
various mice amd hamsters...

Yeah, no one likes to outlive thier pets...

when i was little i had to watch my favorite cat get killed alive by my neighbor's dog. they were like 3 feet away but i was to little to know how to hop a fence to save it. it was one of the saddest days of my life.

We were out school shopping for my son when it happened. A friend told us a black truck hit him and didn't even slow down. Some people. :mad:

ouch... that sucks dude, I'm sorry for your loss. I haven't had a pet die, since I got my first pet (dog) only about a year ago... but I'd be heartbroken if she died.
