Badfinger: Triumph and Tragedy
By Hunter60

On November 19, 1983, after an extended and heated argument on the phone with Molland over the lingering royalties from some of Badfingers days with Apple, Evans hung up, walked out into his garden where he hung himself from a tree.

Molland and Gibbins reunited a few more times since Evans death for reunion tours as Badfinger until they split for good in 1990.

Oddly enough, with the release of several compilations, Badfinger continues to make money for Warner Brothers although the estates of the Ham and Evans as well as the surviving members continue to fight for the shares belonging to the people who actually created the music.

The story of Badfinger is tragic in its way and stands as a cautionary tale. The music business is and always will be a business. And like all businesses, you have to watch your back and you have to be careful whom you trust.
