other than PRS, what other companies make a 24 fret guitar? im thinking about getting one, with a nice, easily accessable neck, so i can get 2 full octaves in.

IĀ“d say almost every company offers a 24fret guitar in their collection... or at least you can get a 24fret neck there..

but what iĀ“m goin to look for is a 32 fret guitar.. any ideas where to get one? i know a dude who could build one for me.. but iĀ“m sure it will cost heaps.. :(

32 frets? What do you even do with the last 8?

That could be kewl though.. The frets above 25 are quite small then, try to hit maybe? Dunno..

And for the real post, almost in every collection there is a 24 fret thingie..

I myself prefer Ibanez for they make very good guitars and it's very to easy to play with one..

from fret 25 onwards it should have whole tone steps to increase the space between the frets (look at Ulli John RothĀ“s Sky Guitar!)

Ron thal built a 36 fret guitar, he now uses a thimble to get those tones (keeping it on his right pinkie)
