Hard to handle question

Hi , thank you for excellent hard to handle lesson .Being a very amateur guitarist i was wondering what scale would be appropriate for the solo. Is it a G#minor pentatonic? What would be appropriate scales to play over this song. I can then go to the scale finder and practice those scales over the song.

The key of the song is B, and it turns out that both B major pentatonic and B minor pentatonic work very well in the solo sections.

The scale you mentioned, G# minor pentatonic, is the exact same scale as B major pentatonic, so your are correct. (G# minor is the relative minor of B major). However, it is better to think of this scale as B major pentatonic since the song is in the key of B.
