The Fleet has a new Flagship!

manX has a new guitar, coincidentally assuming status as flagship of my current collection.

This is kind of a short 'show and tell' really, to disperse some of my pent up energy and excitement sharing it with those here who''ll understand how it feels, as it's been quite a lengthy wait to actually get my hands on this guitar with a literal saga of a backstory I'll save for another time.

I'll take some pics and do a 'my experience' review in the Guitar Tricks review section when I've had adequate time hands on with it to warrant fair comment. Very excited about it though as it's the most expensive guitar I've bought to date, & kitted with some serious custom hardware -by my standards. Without further ado, here's a promo pic until I stage some home studio glam shots of my own. Though no reason to be proud, as Yamaha did all the hard yards, nevertheless I am, probably more accurately put, 'chuffed'. More than mere GAS, nice to never quite lose that childlike excitement. Had this one planned and patiently awaited for more than a year now.

Agree with your HSS sentiment, although I confess "guilty" to not stopping at one.

I like most solid body rigs and varying configs, but if I was somehow restricted or constrained to have to choose one electric guitar, much as I truly would miss my conventional PUP config Tele and Les Paul, it'd have to be a HSS superStrat.

Very nice, loving the fully black "stealth" aesthetic and looking forward to reading the review.

As a nosy bugger, I love seeing other people's gear posts plus it let's me satisfy GAS vicariously!
