Hey everyone, my name is Clint. Turn 39 years old and going through some serious changes in my life wanting a divorce. I've always wanted to learn to play the guitar and I love the blues. To help me get through it all I figured learning how to play the blues will be very therapeutic and fun at the same time. Learning how to strum the strings and get my fingers on the right notes for the chords I feel like I'm learning to walk for the first time, LOL.

Hi Clint. Welcome to you.

I hope that it all works out for you.

That's life. You have to learn to walk before you can run.

Good luck.

Kind regards

Joe

Clint,

I can relate. If learning to play the guitar is as cathartic for you as it has been for me the last few years you've made an excellent decision to take it up. My issues have not been domestic/legal but rather medical.

I wish you every possible success in your journey. There will be some frustrating times. But it will divert your attention from those other issues.

And when you hit those tough times come here and discuss it. GT has assembled a great team of teachers. And even beyong them there is a great group of fellow learners here to help and encourage.

Thanks guys!!! Between dealing with the domestic issues and just life in general when I come home from work I pick up the guitar and I start playing what I do know and I focus all my energy on learning what I don't. And within just matter of minutes a plane I feel better about my day and I feel better about myself. I am truly grateful that I stumbled upon this awesome website and instructors that I watch videos of, the fact I get to communicate with fellow Learners people both below me at the same level as me and better than me to share the experience with.

Yes, ma'am. It's funny how after going over a couple of courses and I listen to the blues I now count Beach and listen for the different chords or notes and watch the fingers a little bit more closely to watch exactly what the guys are doing. The only bad thing about listening to the blues at work as I tend to keep checking the time because I'm so anxious to get home so I can play on the guitar, lol!!!
