Knockin on Heavens Door

Hey Mike, I've been working on Knockin on Heavens Door and in Guitar 1 part I think you transpose the Am and C chord during the second slow play along. The notation starts off G, D in the first bar and then Am Am7 in the second bar. but in your second slow play along I think you are playing G, D and C in the second bar. It's confusing. I've been lost before what am I missing please.

Hello! I'm sorry you are having trouble with this part.

I just double checked the slow play in the Verse Part 1 lesson and everything seems correct.

Also, the notation is correct - the progression goes G D | Am, then G D | C - played twice in the verse section.

If you are finding the slow playthrough confusing, maybe try watching the part played at full speed at the beginning of the lesson, and use the speed buttons on the side frame of the video to slow it down to where you need it to be.

Hey there - around 7:00 is the 4th time through the progression. So just to be clear:

1:25 - G D Am

3:30 - G D C

5:00 - G D Am

6:28 - G D C

As far as I can see, everything matches the notation. Can you tell me which video you were referring to and the exact time in the video where you're seeing something off?

Looks like there is a mistake when we did the Slow Play at the end. Thanks for catching that and pointing it out!

It should be Am instead of C Major.

I'll go ahead and fix that video and let you know when it's updated.
