Description
This is another boom chick strumming pattern, and it's been used in many bluegrass songs too.
We're using the G chord for this, and adding the D note in the 3rd fret on the 2nd string.
This is the same concept, but there are a couple of things added here. In this one we're using downstrokes, and upstrokes with the pick. There is also a ghost note, which is actually the motion of bringing the pick back up added here.
This is a 16th note strumming pattern, used most of the time at a medium tempo. Play the 6th string with the pick, and bringing the pick back up counts as a note also, eventhough you don't play anything. This is the ghost note, and you're just getting ready to strum the strings with a downstroke. After the downstroke, you strum with an upstroke. Then play the open 4th string, ghost note by bringing the pick back up. Strum the strings with a downstroke, and then an upstroke.
I'm also counting along in this one, play the 6th string on the count of 1, strum with a downstroke on "and", upstroke on "A". Play the open 4th string on 2, downstroke on "and", upstroke on "A".
I played this very slow so you could get it right, without speed being a factor. We will speed it up soon, and also add some fills.
