Description

There is just one guitar layer in this song - an acoustic guitar plugged into a small tube combo amp for an authentic early blues tone.

The song is essentially a 12 bar form with a stomping groove with space between the vocal phrases for call & response parts by the guitar and harp.

The tune starts off with a slide turnaround that ramps into the first verse. There are 3 verses in the tune - the first 2 use the 12 bar blues form, while the third verse adds an additional 4 bars on the I chord for a nice contrast.

In the following lessons, we'll talk about bluesy slide licks and fingerstyle blues approaches. We are in the key of E major, with a 4/4 time signature, at a tempo of 60 BPM.
