Hi Mike,

I find your ESP PC1V guitar beautiful, but most important : it looks like the guitar can handle different styles, from something softer to also more rocking.
I checked out the ESP website, but your model isn't available. Is your model then a custom one? I wonder if just the colour is custom or if also the pick ups are different then the available models?
I like for example the Olympic White model featured on the ESP website, but I wonder if this guitar would be "not as good quality" compared to your guitar?
I also wonder why there's an PC1V and a PC2V model, as I can't find any differences? Same configuration, same looks, even same price. Would you have an idea?

Thanks for your time and for all the good lessons !

Ricky

The model of that guitar is in fact still up on the ESP website! My guitar is not a custom job; it's exactly the model and specs you would get off the rack. You are right; the guitar is very versatile and can cover all sorts of tones from softer to heavier, and is one of the reasons I love it!

Also, the PC1V and PC2V have slightly different body shapes from each other. But I think that's really the only difference.

For the Iron Maiden sound, I would recommend a Marshall style amp. They've used Marshall for almost their entire career.

The new Marshalls have plenty of gain to get that thick distorted sound. If you choose an older Marshall, you may have to put a distortion pedal in front to get the amount of distortion required for those killer riffs and leads.

Good luck! Keep Rockin!!
