Description
Any acoustic guitar is suitable to play this song, but one with a brighter tone will help cut through the band a bit better.
I'm using a Les Paul electric guitar for this tune, but any guitar is suitable. Choose the bridge pickup for more power and clarity.
As far as amps go, any Marshall-style tube amp is a fine choice. Set the amp for a light crunch. Set the Drive to 45%, Bass to 45%, Mid to 55%, Treble to 65%, and Presence to 65%.
Guitar 3 requires a cleaner sound, so roll your guitar's volume down accordingly, or reduce the drive on the amp.
Guitar 4 is a lead guitar, so kick in an overdrive/distortion pedal for more sustain.
Add some reverb for depth.
I used a 10-46 string gage, with a heavy pick so I can dig into those strums and arpeggiations!
Here are the settings I used:
Marshall Plexi Model:
Drive: 45% Bass: 45% Mid: 55% Treb: 65% Presence: 65%
(Guitar 3 - Drive: 20%)
Tube Screamer (Guitar 4):
Gain: 75% Tone: 75%
Spring Reverb:
WetDryMIX: 45%
