Hello Steve
I like your presentation of the song. As I see,it has 4 pages of breakdown of chord patterns and 2 pages of the entire song being played.
I would like to make two suggestions,if I may,from a learner's perspective.
1. It may not be bad idea to teach those 4 pages with reference to part of the song where those chords have been applied. Right now all we see is the chord changes without a frame of reference. May be a few more pages may be added. Some instructors do that which is very helpful.
2. A full lyric sheet with chord changes inserted. I know there are too many chords but at least the principal chords inserted will help.
That is from a learner's perspective. I hope you don't mind

Hi Peter, you addressed your suggestions to Steve, and I'm not sure who he is!

Anyways, I just want to double check that you are referring to the Fleetwood Mac song lessons for "Songbird". Please send a link to the lesson you are referring to and we'll take it from there.

Thanks!
Mike

Keep rockin!

I've had Stevie Nicks on the brain before, it's been a few years though. ;)

Hi Peter,

I couldn't resist the joke but I didn't mean to make light of your question.

1. Looking at the performance lesson, each section is marked with "verse", "chorus", etc. to show which part of the song it applies too. It can be overwhelming to see the whole song written in a continuous sheet, but maybe this helps a little?

2. The lyrics would definitely help here, but we don't have permission to post them for our licensed songs (it's a separate license.)

The learner's perspective is the most helpful for us, it tells us what we need to do.

Best,

Peter, you can buy the musical notation matched up with lyrics from places like Sheet Music Direct and then, with some concentrated effort, match it up with the guitar tabs given on Guitar Tricks. I find it very helpful - the musical notation helps me figure out how to integrate the singing and the guitar strumming correctly. I find Songbird particularly difficult to sing with correct timing, probably because the words tend to land on the upbeat of the strum. I wonder if others find the vocal timing difficult?
