Double Stops

Description

This is a pretty cool sounding riff, this should give you an idea of how to use double stops to add to your rhythm playing.

I am hybrid picking this, using my fingers to pull up for the double stops. All the notes on the 6th, and 5th string are played with the pick. Don't forget the hammer ons after you play the double stops, and your pull offs back to the open strings.

You can use this in swing music, and other styles too. You can also play it as rhythm, or you can use it in a solo. Change it up a little, and it will work in a country shuffle too.

I'm using the fingers I'm using for convenience, as you can tell I keep them in position because I go back to that position to pull off to the open string.

You can also mute the strings you play with the pick, and choke the double stops after you play them. I would learn to play it before you try this, and then work on the string muting.
