Description

The first chord is just an A chord, and you can make a bar in the 2nd fret, or use the 3 finger position. Here we're bending the 3rd note in the scale up to the 4th, so this is another half step bend. Start on the open 5th string, and after picking the 2nd string pull the bender up a half step, and then release it. You want the bent note to sound like the note in the 3rd fret, on the 2nd string.

The next chord is an A7 chord, but we're adding the G note by playing the 3rd string open. You can also add the G note in the 3rd fret on the 1st string. We're still bending the 3rd note in the scale up to the 4th, and this is also a half step bend. Start on the open 5th string, and after picking the 2nd string pull the bender up a half step, and then release it.

The next one is the Asus2 chord, that we used in Introduction To A B Bender Guitar where we bent the B note up a whole step to the C#. Again start on the open 5th string, and after playing the open 2nd string pull the bender up a whole step, and hold it for this one.

The next one is the Asus4 chord, and here we're bending the 4th note in the scale up a whole step to the 5th. Start on the open 5th string, and after you play the 2nd string in the 3rd fret pull the bender up a whole step, and hold it.

The last one is an Asus5 chord, my Dad always called this a long A chord because of the stretch between the index finger, and the pinky. Here we're bending the 5th note of the scale up a whole step to the 6th. You have to use the bar in the 2nd fret to get this one, and your pinky is barring the 1st, and 2nd string in the 5th fret. Start on the open 5th string, and after playing the 2nd string in the 5th fret pull the bender up a whole step, and then release it.

Hopefully you've found your sweet spot for the half step bend by now, if not keep working at it. You'll want to keep practicing all these chord positions, and remember which ones work with a whole step, and which ones work with a half step pull.
