String Bending

Description

This position works with an A chord, and this one is an octave higher than where we started. Practice all these positions, and remember the chords they work with. If you want to keep going up the neck, the next one works with a B chord.

Bend the 2nd string in the 15th fret, from the D note to sound like the E note in the 17th fret.

After releasing the bend, play the C note in the 13th fret. Then you play the root note of the scale, in the 14th fret on the 3rd string.

The note in the 15th fret on the 2nd string is a D note, which is the 4th note in the A scale. You're bending it up to the 5th note in the scale, and in this one it's an E note.
