Acoustic Fingerpicking 8: Picker's Goldmine!

Description

This classic two-measure figure uses a combination the 4-Step Pattern and variations on the pattern, plus the pull-off left-hand technique.

Here are the steps of this figure:

First: Form a Dsus4 chord, by making a normal D chord, and also adding your pinky to the 3rd fret of the highest string. Play Variation #1 of the 4-step pattern in this position. This completes the first measure of this two-measure figure.

Next: Begin the second measure with a pinch of the bass note and the highest string, while at the same time doing a pull-off with your pinky. You'll end up back on a normal D chord.

Finally: Finish out the measure on a normal D chord.
