Description

A bass run is an easy and fun way to add movement and interest to a fingerpicking piece.
This bass run uses the 4-Step pattern.

Here are the steps for this figure:

First: Start by making a G Major chord. Play a full measure of Variation #1 in this position.

Next: Play the 4-step pattern on the G chord, then switch to a G/F# ("G over F sharp") chord, and play the 4-step pattern in that position.

Finally: Finish out the figure with a measure of Variation #1, played on an E minor chord.
